2004 – 2010 STRATEGIC PLAN

          OUR MISSION is to reflect God’s love in our ministries to senior adults.

 

          OUR VISION is to assist each senior adult to live up to his or her highest potential by addressing spiritual, emotional, physical, social, and security needs.

 

          OUR MINISTRY is to continue to be a premier ministry and resource for positive aging by providing senior adult Continuum of Care Retirement Communities, senior health care services, education, resources, training and development opportunities for congregations, organizations, individuals and families.

 

          We believe each person is CREATED IN GOD’S IMAGE; therefore in OUR CORE VALUES we recognize INDIVIDUALITY by the granting of CHOICES, DIGNITY, RESPECT and EQUALITY through CHRIST-LIKE SERVICE in EXCELLENCE AND MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS.

 

Directive One

Housing Ministry

 

          We will provide senior adult continuum of care retirement communities consisting of independent living, assisted living,       and nursing care.

 

 

Facilities

Ironton Campus – Major renovation including a new southwest entrance with canopy, medical wing, centralized nursing station, assisted living apartments, "Main Street" activities area and a conference/training center. Build more Independent Living Apartments as needed. 

 

Chillicothe Campus – New roof, Assisted Living apartments, expanded dining room, canopy entrance, and more Independent Living apartments as needed. 

 

Ozark Campus – New carpeting, exterior upgrades, more Independent Living apartments as needed.

 

New Campuses – Conduct needs/support studies of potential new Continuum of Care Retirement Communities and other senior housing models. 

Directive Two

Resident Care Ministry

 

          We will endeavor to assist our present and future residents reach their highest potential by providing educational, financial, health and consulting services.

 

Expanded Resident Care Services – Additional Chaplain/Chapel ministries, new wellness centers, and more recreational opportunities. 

 

Expand Off-Campus Services – Investigate providing home health care services. Promote and provide Parish Nursing Programs training. 

 

Directive Three
Financial Services Ministry


We will follow sound financial principles in all area of our ministry without the dependence on government funds.
 

Directive Four
Staff Development Ministry

 

We will value all our employees. We will endeavor to provide our employees: competitive pay/benefits, necessary equipment, job related training and a pleasant work environment.
 

Directive Five
Educational Services Ministry

 

We will minister to those beyond our facilities by providing educational resources, seminars, programs and enrichment events on age related issues for senior adults and those who serve them through out Center For Positive Aging and Senior Adult Ministries Program.


• Assist Congregations in establishing and enlarging their Senior Adult Ministries.
• Provide consultation services to senior adults, families, and those who serve older adults.
• Sponsor Senior Adult Enrichment Events like Senior Adult Retreats, and Regional Events.
• Provide Learning Opportunities For Those Who Serve Senior Adults.
• Develop a Center For Positive Age conference/education facility on the Ironton Campus.
• Develop cooperative agreements with educational institutions to develop training/internship programs for individuals pursuing a career in serving older adults.

 

Directive Six
Support Development Ministry

 

We will have a well-rounded development and public relations/communication program to secure the necessary emotional, financial, and spiritual support in order for us to accomplish our mission and ministry.


• Conduct a Capital Campaign to fund the Ironton renovation and other building projects
• Promote the uniqueness of the Baptist Home Retirement Community ministry and services.
• Secure adequate, continuous and dependable financial support.
• Enlarge The Baptist Home’s Endowment.
